Mina Harker - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia (818 words)
Mina and Lucy symbolise Victorian era womanhood and the sensibility of the age but while Mina stays resolute, Lucy's sexual tendencies are to be her end.
Mina slowly succumbs to the blood of the vampire that flows through her veins, switching back and forth from a state of consciousness to a state of semi-trance during which she is telepathically connected with Dracula.
This version of Mina has a past relationship with Dorian Gray, a fact that the traitorous immortal uses to his advantage, and attracts the romantic interests of Henry Jekyll and Tom Sawyer (A deleted scene on the DVD showed her hinting to Sawyer that she may feel the same way about him).
CliffsNotes::Dracula:Book Summary and Study Guide (1522 words)
Mina Murray, an assistant "schoolmistress," is engaged to Jonathan Harker.
Mina reports that Lucy and Arthur are preparing for their wedding and that she still hasn't heard from Jonathan for a month; interestingly, the date of this entry is also the date of the last entry that Jonathan Harker made in the journal that he kept in Count Dracula's castle in Transylvania.
Mina is also concerned about Lucy because Lucy has once again "taken to her old habit of walking in her sleep." In a late entry of the 6th of August, Mina notes that the fishermen claim that a harsh storm is approaching.
