Minden City is a village located in Sanilac County, Michigan. As of the 2000 census, the village had a total population of 242. The village is located within Minden Township.

Geography

According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 2.9 km² (1.1 mi²). 2.9 km² (1.1 mi²) of it is land and none of it is covered by water.

Demographics

As of the census² of 2000, there are 242 people, 96 households, and 67 families residing in the village. The population density is 83.4/km² (216.5/mi²). There are 111 housing units at an average density of 38.3/km² (99.3/mi²). The racial makeup of the village is 99.17% White, 0.00% African American, 0.00% Native American, 0.00% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.00% from other races, and 0.83% from two or more races. 1.24% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.

There are 96 households out of which 31.3% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 47.9% are married couples living together, 17.7% have a female householder with no husband present, and 30.2% are non-families. 27.1% of all households are made up of individuals and 16.7% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.52 and the average family size is 2.91.
