Character Story
Spoiler warning: Plot and/or ending details follow. After Cassiopoeia left Lireo, she entrusted the throne to Minea, as she has no daughter mentioned. She used to be the keeper of the Jewel of Air and the magical scepter (now in Hagorn's possession) and mother to the four elemental goddesses who will carry the magic that the four jewels bear. The time came when it was time to change the queen. Minea, after having consulted her advisors, told her daughters to prepare for the test. Pirena later overheard Minea talking with Imao that she wish either of her three daughters, except Pirena, would become queen. She still told some about Pirena's "blood" (she still didn't talk about it clearly and it even mystified wise Imao) and that she is sorry that Pirena won't be able to fulfill her ambition but Pirena was already gone this time, angry and hurt with questions on her mind. Several ancient Classical Element ideas exist. ...

The test for the sisters is to fight a cloaked warrior. The goal is to take the "key" the the warrior holds. The cloaked figure wear a white cloak with a brown face covering (the attire is, intriguingly, of a common Sapirian warrior) and wears a key as a pendant. Danaya went first and it was her battle that was most difficult (she even stepped on traps). Defeated, she went home sulking. Alena went next and also succumbed to defeat her mother but she was just happy about it (to everyones puzzlement). Next went Amihan. When she proved to be strong, Pirena joined in and together they fought in forcing it to retreat to the woods. In their pursuit, Amihan fell of a cliff, Pirena then tried to save her sister but remembered that Amihan was also her competition, thus, she kicked Amihan's hand, letting her fall down. The cloaked warrior flew down rescuing the diwata. It was this moment that Amihan saw the warrior's face. It was Minea. She told Amihan that she should know that her mother's love would always show through, despite any sort of disguise. Now back on the cliff, both of them are safe. She died in Lireo just before Lira (Milagros) was born and therefore resided in the peace of Devas. The introduction of this article does not provide enough context for readers unfamiliar with the subject. ...

She reappeared later in the series when Lira came to her for advice. She told Lira that the only way Encantadia will be united is the unification of her 4 daughters, who have gone astray by Bathala's will, and she is the key for this to happen.
