Minerva Township is a township located in Clearwater County, Minnesota. As of the 2000 census, the township had a total population of 283.

Geography

According to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 93.6 km² (36.1 mi²). 89.4 km² (34.5 mi²) of it is land and 4.2 km² (1.6 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 4.48% water.

Demographics

As of the census² of 2000, there are 283 people, 97 households, and 76 families residing in the township. The population density is 3.2/km² (8.2/mi²). There are 120 housing units at an average density of 1.3/km² (3.5/mi²). The racial makeup of the township is 92.93% White, 0.00% African American, 3.89% Native American, 1.06% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.00% from other races, and 2.12% from two or more races. 0.71% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.

There are 97 households out of which 38.1% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 67.0% are married couples living together, 6.2% have a female householder with no husband present, and 21.6% are non-families. 14.4% of all households are made up of individuals and 4.1% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older.
