The Minister for Parliamentary Business is a member the Scottish Executive whose job it is to steer government business through the Scottish Parliament. The role combines the duties of Chief Whip and Leader of the House in other national legislatures. The current (since 2003) Minister is Margaret Curran MSP of the Scottish Labour Party, her deputy is George Lyon MSP of the Scottish Liberal Democrats.
