Minories railway station was a railway station located on Minories, near Tower Hill, London. It opened on 6 July 1840 as the City terminus for the London and Blackwall Railway (then known as the Commercial Railway). When the larger Fenchurch Street, located several hundred yards west, was opened in 1854, Minories was closed and was later converted into goods sidings. In 1987, when the Docklands Light Railway opened, its western terminus at Tower Gateway opened on the site of the old Minories station. The Minories is an area of London close to the Tower of London. ...
