Misamis Occidental is located near the narrow strip of land linking Northwestern Mindanao, to the northern part of the island.
The Occidental comprises the towns of Baliangao, Lopez Jaena, Tudela, Clarin, Plaridel, Oroquieta, Moran and Jimenez.
