Stokes first began rapping when DJ King Shameek, a member of rap group Twin Hype heard her rapping on her father's voicemail. He later suggested Stokes do a promotion for Wendy Williams' radio show on WBLT. Afterwards, the promo led to other projects such as remixes, appearances in other radio shows across the country. Career She was invited to by Bow Wow to join him on his Unleashed Tour in 2003. He also appeared as a host on her latest album titled I Got The Hood and invited her to his 19th birthday party. She has released seven albums. She has performed throughout the country with major recording artists such as Lil' Jon, Marques Houston, Mario, Amerie, Lil' Kim, Floetry, ATL, 50 Cent, 3LW, Ying Yang Twins, J-Kwon, Rah Digga, Wyclef Jean, 8 Ball MJG, El Chico Debarge, Keith Murray and Joe Budden. In 2004, she performed at a school in Irvington named Chancellor Ave. School. There she gave away free merchandise. Miss Nana recently released a music video for her single Problems In My Hood. The music video was shot in her hometown of Newark and can be seen on her website as well as an upcoming DVD. She is signed to Bow Wow's record label LBW ENT. (L.B.
