New Mexico has had little success at Miss USA, with only four placements. Three of these came in the 1980s, and made New Mexico one of the more successful states in that decade. No New Mexico teen placed from 1988 until Brittany Toll made the finals in 2005.


Two New Mexico teens have gone on to win Miss New Mexico USA and compete at Miss USA. More unusually, two have also competed at Miss America.
