Oklahoma has never won the Miss USA title, although they came close in 1989 when Jill Scheffert placed 1st runner-up to the final Texas Ace Michelle Royer. They are in the top 20 states in terms of number of semi-finalists. Their most recent succes was in 2005 when Laci Scott, one of only three eighteen-year-olds at the pageant, advanced to the finals. The Texas Aces is a name coloquially given to five Miss Texas USA titleholders who went on to win the Miss USA beauty pageant in succession from 1985-1989. ...
