Moghol is a Mongolic language spoken in Afghanistan by a few people around Herat. In the 1970s, when the German scholar Michael Weiers did fieldwork on the language, only a small number of people, mostly over the age of 40, knew the language, and in general, their knowledge of the language was passive.
