Mona Lisa is a 1986 British film which tells the story of a petty criminal who becomes entangled in the dangerous life of a high-class call girl. It stars Bob Hoskins, Cathy Tyson, Michael Caine, Robbie Coltrane and Sammi Davis.


The movie was written by Neil Jordan and David Leland, and directed by Jordan. It was produced by George Harrison's Handmade Films


In 1987, Bob Hoskins won the Golden Globe Award for best actor in a drama. Hoskins was also nominated for the Academy Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role.
