Moncton is the second largest city in the Canadian province of New Brunswick and lies at the centre of the fastest growing urban region in the province.
Moncton is located in southeastern New Brunswick in the Petitcodiac River valley, along the north bank of the river at a point where it bends from a west–east flow to a north–south direction.
Moncton is at the geographic centre of the Maritime Provinces.
