Lloyd Roberts aka Mooseman was an Americanmusician and the bassist of Body Count. He was killed in a random shooting in front of a hardware store in South Central Los Angeles on February 22 2001. Mooseman was touring with Iggy Pop and had recorded an album with him. Iggy Pop released his album and dedicated it to Mooseman. Body Count is a "crossover" heavy metal band, best known for being fronted by Ice-T and causing a furor with the release of "Cop Killer" from their debut album, Body Count.
Sales were slow, and Mooseman left the group and was replaced by Griz.
Griz left the band soon after, Beatmaster V died of Leukemia and Mooseman was shot in a drive-by in winter 2000 while working for Iggy Pop.
