Morning Sedition was a three-hour radio program that premiered April 1, 2004 and ran until December 16, 2005, in the United States. Maron and Riley had a conversational program with both sharing the hosting tasks. With both serious and comedy segments, Morning Sedition had some of the best issue framing on the radio dial. Marc and Mark dialogs were informative and cut to the core of important issues. Interviews were quite professional with both hosts seamlessly trading questions. This was a very fast moving and tight show with a good mixture of commentary and comedy with a bit of mayhem thrown in for good measure with Mark Riley playing straight man to Marc Maron.

There was a great outpouring from Morning Sedition fans, including thousands of e-mails to Goldberg, other AAR hosts, and AAR board members. Additionally, over 6,300 fans signed an online petition calling for the renewal of Maron's contract and the Morning Sedition program.
