Court fines NZ leader's motorcade for speeding - World - smh.com.au (616 words)
Clark was a backseat passenger in the one of the three cars and has claimed she was so engrossed in reading some paperwork she had no idea how fast they were going.
Prosecutors said Clark was whisked across the South Island from Waimate to Christchurch airport in time to catch a flight to Wellington where she watched a rugby Test between New Zealand and Australia on July 17 last year.
Before the trial, Clark had said she was reading official papers in the back seat of her car and was not aware of the speed of the motorcade.
