Mount Robson Provincial Park is the largest provincial park in the Canadian Rockies with an area of 2,249 km². Mount Robson Provincial Park is the largest provincial park in the Canadian Rockies with an area of 2,249 km². The first recreational trail was built in 1913 by the Hargreaves family along the Robson River to Berg Lake. This is now one of the top hiking trails in the world, with unparalled beauty along it's entire length.

Mount Robson was named in 1915 by Colin Robertson, an employee of the Hudson's Bay Company.
The north face of Mount Robson is heavily glaciated and 800 metres (2600 feet) of ice plunge down from the top to the shores of Berg Lake.
The south face of Mount Robson is clearly visible from the Yellowhead Highway (Highway 16).

Mount Robson Park can be reached by travelling 345 km (215 mi) north from Kamloops along Highway 5, or by travelling east from Prince George for 280 km (175 mi) on Highway 16.
The extensive size and diverse nature of Mount Robson Park means that visitors to the area can choose from a variety of activities ranging from those suitable for families with small children, to those appropriate for expert mountain climbers.
The water in Mount Robson's lakes is mostly fed by melt water flowing from the surrounding glaciers.
