Although the company's management has indicated that they would continue with Mphasis even after this acquisition of a majority holding by EDS, Chairman and CEO Jaithirth "Jerry" Rao tendered 1,875,000 shares - about a third of his holding - to EDS under their offer, sparking speculation that he may be planning to leave the company. Other unconfirmed reports indicate that Mr Rao may instead be moving to a senior position within EDS.
