Encyclopedia > Mt. Hyjal

Mt. Hyjal is a mountain found in the fantasy Warcraft Universe.

Located within lush forests to the north of the continent of Kalimdor, Mt. Hyjal is the holy mountain of the Night Elves.

It is the location of the Final Battle of the Second Invasion of the Burning Legion. Even though the alliance of the Orcs and Humans with the Night Elves prevailed, the entire realm and the mountain has suffered unimagineable amount of damage.

The World Tree sits on top of the mountain.

Hyjal - WoWWiki (648 words)
Hyjal is a region of northern Kalimdor, located southwest of Winterspring, east of Felwood, northeast of Ashenvale, and northwest of Azshara.
The current layout of Hyjal as it exists in the game is quite linear, and the zone is first and foremost intended for its Caverns of Time version, and not a regular zone.
The announcement of Hyjal's inclusion in the Caverns of Time has generated speculation that modern-day Hyjal may be eventually redesigned as a non-raid instance.
Cenarion Circle Lore [therista] @ wikihost.org (1.3.3) (1261 words)
Because of her abilites, the night elf was summoned to assist in defending Mt. Hyjal itself and there was no other warrior in the defensive military of the night elves that was younger than her.
The Battle at Mt. Hyjal was fierce and Therista was nearly killed in combat had it not been for a Troll Berserker who had taken the lethal blow for her.
Four years since the Battle of Mt. Hyjal, Therista is no longer bitter, but an excitable, cocky, skilled and tactical warrior with an innocent, shy little girl deep inside of her.
