Murder, SheWrote: A Story to Die For is the second Murder, SheWrote TV movie that first aired May 18, 2000 on CBS.
Murder, SheWrote: The Celtic Riddle is the fourth and last Murder, SheWrote TV movie that first aired May 9, 2003 on CBS.
Murder, SheWrote was originally conceived as a vehicle for Jean Stapleton, who had just finished a nine-year run on All in the Family; when Stapleton decided she didn't want to commit to another television series, the role was offered to Lansbury.
She replied that after all the roles she had in her long and varied career, it was strange to be remembered for "Straightjacket".
She actually was finished about 4PM or 5PM, and the late night scenes we had to wait around for did not include her.
Though working on "Murder, SheWrote" was not the most rewarding for me on camera, it was one of the most pleasant off camera due to the pleasant atmosphere.
