Ships of the Line Musaka

In the fictional Gundam Universe, at the outbreak of the Second Neo-Zeon War in UC0093, the fleet under Char's command was almost exclusively composed of Musaka class vessles. Fast and agile, these ships served the Neo-Zeon cause well, seeing action in all major conflict in Char's Counterattack.

The Musaka itself seems to be based on the old Musai design of previous Zeon fleets. The Musaka's have ten thrusters, mounted on two rear fins, cooling fins to help improve fuel consumption, dual launch catapaults for its Mobile Suit squads, and at least 12 secondary anti-aircraft gun mounted on the main body of the ship, begining about midway down the ship and continuing to the aft. Unlike other designs, Musaka class's catapults are tilted at an angle.

The Neo-Zeon fleet was composed of eleven Musaka class vessels and Char's flagship, the Rewloola. These ships preformed exceptionally well in the fight against the Federation's Londo Bell task force, but they lacked the fire power and numbers to be effective against the Federation as a whole. Those ships that survived the fight were ultimately scraped when the Zeon rejoined the Federation in UC0099.

Irish class battleship - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia (286 words)
The Irish class was the first battleship ever commissioned by the Federation with the ability to carry and deploy Mobile Suits, as such it is not as dependant on its main guns, as was the case with the Magellan class and Birmingham class battleships.
The Irish class was designed and equipped with twelve rear thruster, giving the class a speed advantage against enemy ships, not unlike the American designed Iowa class battleships.
The Irish class performed exceptionally well during the Grypps Conflict, and the remaining Irish class vessels were reportedly circulated back into the Earth Federal Space Force at the end of the conflict.
