 | Approximately 120 students and music instructors from around South Dakota gathered at the Johnson Fine Arts Center for the South Dakota Music Teachers Association Convention October 26-29. |
| Performances were done with musical instruments and vocals, with the divisions based upon ages and the type of performance. |
| While the students were competing, music instructors were able to attend workshops and presentations held in classrooms and the auditoriums of JFAC. |
