Structure

The song is a faux-punk song, comprised of two simple power-chord riffs played by an overdriven distorted electric guitar and bass. The song begins with Lynch proclaiming "whatever!" The song's main riff played three times. Following the riff, Lynch talks about a particular person who tried to say something to him. He ignored them all by saying "whatever!" The song moves back to the riff. This happens three times before the chorus. The chorus is a different riff and consists of Lynch yelling the words "This is my United States of Whatever!" The second verse is much the same as the first except on the third story when Lynch meets Zafo.

And then up comes Zafo / I'm, like, "yo, Zafo. What's up?" / He's, like, "nothin'" / And I'm, like, "that's cool."

The song is silent for a second and a half before Lynch sings the chorus again.
