Ottis Anderson - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia (576 words)
He was named The NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year by the Associated Press in 1979 and the MVP of Super Bowl XXV in 1991 when playing with the New York Giants.
After a year and a half, Stump Mitchell, who himself is a member of Omega Psi Phi, emerged as the Cards' top running back, and the expendable Anderson ended up deep in the New York Giants' depth chart in the middle of the 1986 season.
In 1989, Anderson become the top running back for Bill Parcells' ball control offense and was named NFL Comeback Player of the Year.
