NIMDAC Logo History The Northern Indian Medical & Dental Association of Canada, more commonly known as NIMDAC was officially registered in the year 1993 as a non-profit organisation in Canada. There are 100 life members and more than 150 active members. It is an association of medical doctors and dentists of Indian origin who reside in Canada and North America. Northern Indian Medical and Dental Association of Canada was the brain child of some its members who met for the first time in the year 1987-88. This was rather a social gathering at one of the founding members home and laid the foundation of this organization. The initial founding members were Dr. P. Bariana, Dr. K. S. Grewal, Dr. K. Kular, Dr. B. Purewal, Dr. R. Rana, Dr. B. Reen and Dr. P. Sunerh. The organization was officially registered in the year 1993. Before this year, it was an unofficial and informal organization. The members used to meet at their homes and organize social and educational events regularly.
