According to the NITK Director, S.S. Murthy, under the scheme, the NITK staff can avail themselves of medical benefits directly from the hospital and the bills would be paid by the institute, depending upon the eligibility of the staff.
The NITK would hold its Foundation Day Celebrations on Friday where a number of projects would be launched, Dr. Murthy said.
They included commencement of the work on the ambitious centre for yogic research, holistic health and continuing education, inauguration of tree planting on the NITK campus, release of the constitution of the NITK alumni association and a workshop on `Vision 2010 NITK', Dr. Murthy said.
