Nancy Dow was married to John Aniston(born Yiannis Anastassakis) from 11 December 1965 - 20 August 1980. They had daughter Jennifer Aniston. Nancy also has a son, John T. Nancy apparently gave up her career to be a wife and mom. Some reports have said that Nancy was in the porn movie while pregnant with Jennifer!

Since 1996 Nancy has been estranged from her daughter Jennifer. Jennifer says Nancy made her feel "unbeautiful" while growing up; telling her, "Your eyes are too close together…your eyes are too small…your face is too wide…you have your father’s mouth." The already rocky relationship was in for another shock when Nancy began hanging out on the set of Friends. Nancy would try and pass herself off as an actress to anyone who would listen, according to sources. Jen accused her mother of using her to get ahead. The end of their relationship came when Nancy did a TV interview and talked about her daughter. Jen was furious and refused to speak to her mother ever again.

In 1999, she authored From Mother and Daughter to Friends: A Memoir, about her estrangement from Jennifer. This book further upset Jennifer.

The rift between mother and daughter was so deep that Nancy was not even invited to Jen’s wedding to Brad Pitt in 2000. Pitt tried to repair the damage between his wife and estranged mother-in-law, but was unsuccessful. The seperation and eventual divorce of Jen & Brad got Jen talking to her mom again. Nancy Dow is a former model and actress. Under her maiden name Nancy Dow, she appeared on the 1960s TV shows The Beverly Hillbillies and The Wild Wild West. In 1969, she starred in the B-movie slasher/soft-core porn flick The Ice House as a sex-starved housewife. The film, which also starred porn legend John Holmes, did not make Nancy a star.

Today, Nancy is a writer and photographer in Southern California. Now going by the name Nancy Aniston, Nancy is trying to resurrect her "acting career" with the new artsy film, Arc, currently being shot in Thailand.
