Nan: Definition and Much More from Answers.com (1229 words)
In computing, NaN (Not a Number) is a value or symbol that is usually produced as the result of an operation on invalid input operands, especially in floating-point calculations.
One view is that the NaN should propagate to the output of the function in all cases to propagate the indication of an error.
The first view is that the output should be NaN since one of the inputs is. The second view is that since pow(1, y) = 1 for any real number y, or even if y is infinity or -infinity, then it is appropriate to return 1 for the case of pow(1, NaN).

COMMENTARY

Milan (Belgrade, Serbia,Europe)
14th February 2007
I was in Nanning for 3,5 months (jan-april 2006) as a employer of Murphy Bros Expositions (American Carnival).
City is very nice.Few million of population. People are very nice and hospitality. About 60% of the city is new. New streets,buildings,markets,hotels,restorants,clubs...everything.
Weather is not so good because of high humidity. But it is nice because there's no real winter.
There's a jungle around the city and that is very interesting.
All can I say that is I like Nanning and i wish I could visit again.
