Nas (born Nasir bin Olu Dara Jones on September 14, 1973 in Brooklyn, New York City, New York) is a prominent African-American rapper.
Nas is the elder of Olu Dara and Ann Jones' two children; his brother Jabari (nicknamed "Jungle" because he was born in the Congo) is the younger of the two.
Nas and Graham continued to work towards success, but their dream was cut short when Graham was shot and killed by a gunman in Queensbridge on May 23, 1992.

During World War II, Naval Air Station Jacksonville ("NAS Jax") on the westside, the first navy installation in the city, was used as a major training center.
After the war, the Navy's Blue Angels were originally established at NAS Jax, but soon after moved to NAS Pensacola.
Today, NAS Jax is the third largest navy installation in the country and employs over 23,000 civilian and active-duty personnel.
