Nashia inaguensis, originally collected from Great Inagua Island in the Bahamas, was grown at Delaware State University and examined by GC/MS.
Nashia is a genus of about seven species, five of which are endemic to Cuba and one species of which is endemic to Hispaniola.
Nashia inaguensis was formerly thought to be endemic to Great Inagua Island in the Bahamas but has been recently found in St. Croix and Puerto Rico.
