Nashville is a city located in Kingman County, Kansas. As of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 111.

Nashville is located at 37°26'22" North, 98°25'19" West (37.439320, -98.421898)1.


According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 0.6 km˛ (0.2 mi˛). 0.6 km˛ (0.2 mi˛) of it is land and none of it is covered by water.


Demographics

As of the census2 of 2000, there are 111 people, 45 households, and 36 families residing in the city. The population density is 194.8/km˛ (497.9/mi˛). There are 56 housing units at an average density of 98.3/km˛ (251.2/mi˛). The racial makeup of the city is 97.30% White, 0.90% African American, 0.00% Native American, 0.00% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.90% from other races, and 0.90% from two or more races. 2.70% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.


There are 45 households out of which 26.7% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 71.1% are married couples living together, 6.7% have a female householder with no husband present, and 20.0% are non-families. 20.0% of all households are made up of individuals and 8.9% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.47 and the average family size is 2.83.


In the city the population is spread out with 19.8% under the age of 18, 7.2% from 18 to 24, 27.9% from 25 to 44, 26.1% from 45 to 64, and 18.9% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 44 years. For every 100 females there are 122.0 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 93.5 males.


The median income for a household in the city is $31,250, and the median income for a family is $33,750. Males have a median income of $26,875 versus $19,688 for females. The per capita income for the city is $15,613. 17.9% of the population and 11.1% of families are below the poverty line. Out of the total population, 50.0% of those under the age of 18 and 3.7% of those 65 and older are living below the poverty line.
