Nasinu is an urban area in Fiji. It is officially designated a "Town" (and was formally incorporated as such in 1999), even though its population (approximately 80,000) is twice that of Lautoka, which is officially a "city". The Councillors, who serve three-year terms, elect a Mayor for a term of one year, renewable any number of times.
