Nassogne is a municipality located in the Belgian province of Luxembourg. On January 1st, 2004 Nassogne had a total population of 4,896 (2,440 males and 2,456 females). The total area is 111.96 kmē which gives a population density of 43.73 inhabitants per kmē.
The borough of Nassogne, situated in the Ardennes, covers an area of 27,400 acres, has 5,000 inhabitants and includes the villages of Nassogne, Lesterny, Masbourg, Mormont, Ambly, Forrières, Grune, Bande, Chavanne, Charneux and Harsin.
Nassogne is also a land of traditions where breeders respect nature and animals alike and offer quality products, as at the deer farm with its “organic” label, at the sheep farm or also, in the valley at the village edge, the free roaming pigs.

The chapter of Nassogne rejected in 1086 the authority of the abbey but still recognized his preeminence in the assemblies convened by the pope.
The collegiate church of Nassogne was completely rebuilt in 1661 and restored in1673, 1782 znd 1949, after blazes.
