Encyclopedia > National Awami Party

National Awami Party, a leftist political party in Pakistan. The party was founded in Dhaka in July 1957. The president was Maulana Bhashani and the general secretary Mahmudul Huq Osmani


In 1967 NAP split into National Awami Party (Bhashani) (pro-China) and National Awami Party (Wali) (pro-Soviet Union).
