The National Progressive Democrats was a small Left wing political party political party in the Republic of Ireland. The party won two Dáil seats with TDs elected in the 1961 General Election), Dr Noël Browne and John McQuillan. The party was dissolved in 1963 as both men joined the Labour Party. This party has no connection with the later Progressive Democrats, which was founded in 1986.
