 | NEIT is one of the research centers of the Institute of Economics at Campinas State University (UNICAMP) in the State of São Paulo, Brazil. |
| From 1992 to 1994 NEIT leaded a large coalition of Brazilian universities, private and international consultants that produced the most complete assessment of the degree of international competitiveness of Brazilian manufacturing and outlined the new agenda for industrial and technology policy in view of trade liberalization. |
| NEIT’s current research agenda is devoted to further developing the understanding of the opportunities and threats for Brazilian manufacturing emerging from the new conditions in the international economy. |
