The Nelson River (French: fleuve Nelson) is a river of north-central North America, in the Canadian province of Manitoba. Its full length is 2575 km (1600 mile), it has mean discharge of 2370 m³/s (3100 yd³/s), and has a drainage basin of 982900 km² (379500 sq. mile), of which 180000 km² is in the United States[1].
