Nesodden is located on the tip of the peninsula between main Oslofjord and its arm Bunnefjorden. It includes the villages Fjellstrand, Bjørnemyr, Nesoddtangen, and Fagerstrand, which is also the name of a reality show that was filmed on Fagerstrand and aired on TV 2 during the first half of 2005. Nesoddtangen has ferry connections to Bærum and Oslo. The region consists of the municipalities Frogn, Oppegård, Ski, Vestby, Ås, Nesodden, and Enebakk (the latter is sometimes not counted as being in Follo).
The municipalities of Nesodden, Oppegård, Ås, Frogn and Vestby have a coastline to the Oslo Fjord.
Many of the towns in Follo are situated along this coastline, like Nesoddtangen, Drøbak and Son, as well as several beaches that are well frequented in the summer.
