History Previous to the sectorisation of BR in the 1980s, the system was split into regions, with the regions around London being London Midland Region (Marylebone, Euston, St Pancras and Broad St), Southern Region (Waterloo, Victoria, Charing Cross, Holborn Viaduct, Cannon St and London Bridge), Western Region (Paddington) and Eastern Region (King's Cross, Moorgate, Liverpool St and Fenchurch St). This was a source of inefficiency, so sectorisation reorganised everything with a single organisation covering commuter services.
