History

New Found Glory formed in the middle of 1997 as "A New Found Glory" with Jordan Pundik on vocals, Chad Gilbert (formerly of metalcore band Shai Hulud) and Steve Klein on guitars, Ian Grushka on bass and Joe Moreno on drums. The band's first release was 1997's It's All About the Girls EP, released by Fiddler Records in June. Soon after the recording of It's All About the Girls, Moreno was replaced by current drummer Cyrus Bolooki. Their subsequent debut album Nothing Gold Can Stay was released by Eulogy Recordings; the release of this album combined with an extensive touring schedule soon earned the band a significant following. The band then signed to Drive-Thru Records,[1] releasing an EP titled From the Screen to Your Stereo in 2000. After that, they dropped the "A" from their name, and their self titled album New Found Glory was then released by MCA Records, who had taken notice of the band's success while on Drive-Thru. The band's third studio album, Sticks and Stones, was released in 2002. 2007 - Present

From the Screen to Your Stereo Part II, the band's follow up to From the Screen to Your Stereo, was released on September 18, 2007. Unlike the earlier EP, Part II is a full-length album, containing 11 songs plus one bonus track for the Japanese edition and iTunes. The first single from the album was "Kiss Me"[6] and the video can be viewed on MySpaceTV. On March 18, 2008, a compilation named Hits was released. Two previously unreleased songs, "Situations" (which had been accessible through their myspace site and their performance at Warped Tour before being released on the CD) and "Constant Static" are also featured on the album.

The band released, in April 29th, an EP with 6 tracks on Bridge 9 Records containing both new material and covers of classic hardcore punk songs. The EP, entitled Tip of the Iceberg, is currently being sold on CD, 7" and digitally, through the Internet. The CD also comes with an extra disc of the band International Superheroes of Hardcore, named Takin' It Ova!. ISHC, a "side project" of all members of the band, features Gilbert on vocals and Pundik on guitar. ISHC plays hardcore punk in the vein of bands such as Mental, Outbreak & Righteous Jams. The band plans release a new full length album. On May 19, 2008 at a small record-release show held at Safari Sam's in LA, Pundik announced that NFG had just finished pre-production on a brand new cd and that the band would begin recording on June 2 with Mark Hoppus producing. According to Pundik the new record will be a tentative mix between Catalyst and Sticks and Stones. Presently, the album is set to be released in February 2009.


New Found Glory has announced a UK tour to take place in November. Special guests have been announced as Set Your Goals, Four Year Strong and Crime In Stereo.

Pop-punk band 'New Found Glory' from Florida are back in the UK with a new album, playing an exclusive session for Xfm and talking to Ian Camfield about their change of direction.
New Found Glory first started playing together in '97 and due to their commitment, determination and "being one with the fans" strategy they are now playing sold-out gigs and releasing their fourth album - 'Catalyst'.
New Found Glory will be touring the states for the next three months but are set to return this summer, doing festival appearances at Reading and Leeds.
