Encyclopedia > New Jersey Route 34

Route 34 is a state highway in central New Jersey. It runs 26.79 miles, along the east side of Freehold Township, New Jersey from U.S. Route 9 in Old Bridge Township in Middlesex County to Brielle Circle, the junction of Route 35 and Route 70 in Wall Township, in Monmouth County. The highway, like many in the state, was a two-lane concrete road and was later dualized to the Collingwood Circle. This concrete section is below the current northbound side, which results in cracks and bumps that wreak havoc on vehicles that drive on that stretch. However, a slated paving project will fix this.
