New Jersey State Highway 53 is a state highway in New Jersey, United States. It runs from United States Highway 46 in Denville Township, New Jersey to United States Highway 202 in Morris Plains, New Jersey.

This road is part of the current system, begun in the 1927 renumbering and heavily modified by the 1953 renumbering.
The original system existed from 1922 to 1927.
