New Jersey State Highway 87 is a state highway in New Jersey, United States. It runs north from Atlantic City, New Jersey at an intersection with United States Highway 30 to a point in Brigantine, New Jersey where the road changes designation to Atlantic County, New Jersey Highway 638.

This road is part of the current system, begun in the 1927 renumbering and heavily modified by the 1953 renumbering.
The original system existed from 1922 to 1927.

Built in the 1950s by the State of New York in order to connect the major cities of New York, it is the longest toll road in the United States, with the 496-mile (793 km) mainline extending from the Pennsylvania/New York State border in the west to the Bronx in the east.
The New York State Highway Department regained control of I-84 on October 30, 2006 and the I-190 tolls in Buffalo were removed, although the Grand Island tolls still remain.

Route 87 is a state highway in the U.S. state of New Jersey.
However, the portion from Brigantine to the Atlantic-Ocean county line was never built, and the segment in Ocean County was given back to the county, resulting in the shorter alignment now known as Route 87.
