For other uses, see New York, New York (disambiguation).

New York, New York is a movie directed by Martin Scorsese, released in 1977. It starred Robert De Niro and Liza Minnelli as a pair of musicians and lovers. Made after Scorsese's successful (and controversial) Taxi Driver, this musical tribute to Scorsese's home town of New York City was a box-office failure, and the disappointing reception drove him into depression.

The theme song of the film, "New York, New York," found its own success when famed singer Frank Sinatra recorded a cover of the song in 1980. The song was a popular success, and Sinatra's version has become closely associated with the city of New York.
