Newburgh is a town located in Penobscot County, Maine. As of the 2000 census, the town had a total population of 1,394.

The racial makeup of the town is 98.13% White, 0.29% African American, 0.07% Native American, 0.14% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.22% from other races, and 1.15% from two or more races. 0.43% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
