What if I can't speak Welsh?

If you live in Wales and have no interest in learning Welsh, this news service is not for you due to the fact that all of the news is broadcasted in Welsh.   • If you are a total beginer, and have Teletext, then you may press 888 to view subtitles in English.

What time is Newyddion broadcasted?

  • On Saturdays, you may find the news broadcasted at 7:15pm for 15 minutes entitled "Newyddion a Chwaraeon" (News and Sport).
  • On Sundays it is normally broadcasted at 9:45pm.
  • Normally on weekdays it is shown at 7:30pm for a half an hour session.

What about other S4C channels?

Newyddion is also shown on S4C digidol and S4C2 but times may vary.


Where to find more information?

Every morning at approx 4:00am and 6:00am TV listings are available on S4C Closedown Screen. Most TV Guides entitle "Newyddion a Chwaraeon" or just "Newyddion".
