At the beginning of day 1 a women named Maureen Kingsley is threatening to release the story and make it look like Keith killed Lyle Gibson, ruining Senator Palmer's shot at becoming the first African-American president ever.

During the day, Nicole helps her brother try to stop the story from coming out but nothing seems to help until his brother tapes a conversation with Senator Palmer's ex-campaign Operative Carl Webb. The tape says that there is fake evidence that can be released which implicates Keith in the death of Lyle Gibson and his psychiatrist Dr. George Ferragamo. When her mother and father fight about telling the truth and showing the tape to the public, Nicole hyperventilates and nearly passes out. She apologizes to her father, and says that everything is her fault. Palmer comforts her and assures her that she is not to blame. After Palmer's speech to the press, Nicole is proud of her father and can now finally relax and be calm for the rest of the day.

Post Day 1:

She is mentioned by name a few minutes into Day 2, when Palmer is fishing with Keith in Oregon. He states he wishes Nicole were there.

She is not seen nor mentioned until the end of Day 3, where after hearing the news of the death of Sherry Palmer, President David Palmer asks to have his son and daughter in the conference room, via telephone.

Nicole once again is not mentioned again until Day 5, where after the assassination of former President David Palmer, news casts in the background mention how Palmer leaves behind a brother, a son, and a daughter.
