Nidda is a city in the district Wetterau, Hessen, Germany at the Nidda river, 18 400 residents. The commune Nidda is made up of the quarters Unter-Widdersheim, Ober-Widdersheim, Borsdorf, Harb, Bad-Salzhausen, Geiß-Nidda, Ulfa, Stornfels, Eichelsdorf, Ober-Schmitten, Unter-Schmitten, Kohden, Nidda, Michelnau, Fauerbach, Wallernhausen, Schwickartshausen, Unter-Lais and Ober-Lais.


It is also the right affluent of the Main river, 92 km length. The Nidda has its source in the Vogelsberg and its embouchure into the Main in Frankfurt's Höchst quarter.
