Encyclopedia > Niedorp

Niedorp (population: 11,617 in 2004) is a municipality in the north-western Netherlands, in the province of North Holland. The municipality covers an area of 62.99 kmē (of which 1.41 kmē water).


The municipality of Niedorp consists the following towns, villages and townships: Barsingerhorn, Haringhuizen, Kolhorn, Lutjewinkel, Nieuwe-Niedorp, Oude-Niedorp, 't Veld, Winkel, Zijdewind.


Niedorp received city rights in 1415.


Barsingerhorn

Barsingerhorn is a small town, located about 3km east of Schagen. It received city rights in 1415.
