A map from the 19 th century, showing th region, where this dialect is used The Niemodlin dialect of Silesian language (Silesian: djalykt ńymodliński ślůnskij godki, pronunciation: ['dʲalɨkt ɲɨmɔd'liɲski 'ʃlunskʲij 'gɔtki]) is a dialect of the Silesian language, used in the parts of Niemodlin city. It slightly differs from the standard Silesian by having some characteristic pronunciation phenomenon called masuring (mazuřyńy), which means that the group of consontants č š ž dž is read exactly like c s z dz (IPA: /ʦ/, /s/, /z/, /ʣ/). In Niemodlin Silesian phonology sometimes occurs also a nasal vowel y (which is read as /ɨ̃/). It is closely related to the Prudnik dialect.
